Announcement of Funding Opportunity
Legislative Authority
Charter Schools Program, authorized by Title IV, Part C, of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).
Purpose of Grant
The Charter-District School Collaborative Grant is a 鶹 subgrant opportunity under the federal Charter Schools Program (CSP) designed to support structured, time-bound partnerships between charter schools and traditional public-school districts. The purpose of the grant is to help foster cross-sector collaboration, joint design, implementation and evaluation of high impact strategies that improve outcomes for educationally disadvantaged students, while also producing practical tools and resources that can be adapted by other schools across the State.
This grant funds structured time-bound partnerships that will design, implement and evaluate a focused strategy to improve outcomes for educationally disadvantaged students. Each Partnership must select one Performance Focus Area, propose two to three measurable goals, implement at least one student-facing deliverable during the grant period, participate in 鶹/TAP-supported implementation activities and produce practical tools or resources that may be adapted by other schools. A student-facing deliverable refers to a tangible service, intervention, or instructional experience directly provided to students during the grant period.
Applicants should use the proposal narrative, work plan, budget and MOU to demonstrate that the Partnership has a clear focus, defined roles, a feasible implementation plan and readiness to begin within 60 to 90 days of award.
