Vendor Support for Student Management Systems (SMSs)

Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø is committed to facilitating the submission of data from school data management systems to the Student Information Repository System (SIRS) by providing regular communication and technical assistance. The documents below provide information and guidance on SIRS reporting.

In addition to the documents here, vendors should regularly review the SIRS Manual, which is updated throughout the school year.

Level 0 Data Validation Rules

The Level 0 application is a web-based application used to enter and validate data from an LEA before data are loaded to their Level 1 Host center or RIC. The Level 0 application includes edit checks to assist LEA users with providing quality data to the SIRS. Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø strongly encourages student management system (SMS) vendors to incorporate Level 0 data validation rules in their SMSs.

Vendor Testing of Level 0 Rules

Annual testing via the Level 0 Vendor Testing System (VTS) is required for all vendors prior to importing data to the SIRS. It is particularly important to test new data extracts prior to submission to the SIRS.
